01 The Eye
A landscape, architecture, object, everyday scene or sometimes a simple detail can become the starting point of a photograph.
I do not necessarily seek the exceptional. I am interested in what, through a light, form, matter or point of view, may take another presence.
Before triggering, look. I'm looking for something that deserves to be isolated, reconciled, simplified or linked. The framing then gives a direction to the image.
02 From shooting to final image
Each topic calls for its own choices.
Focal, distance, depth of field, speed or light are adapted to what I want to show. A wide angle does not tell space as a telephoto lens, nor does a macro approach reveal a subject in the same way as an overview.
Work continues after shooting. The development allows me to refine the light, contrasts, colors, materials and details to get back to the true beginning intention.
Some photographs remain very close to the real. Others call for more creative interpretation. In both cases, the processing remains at the image service.
03 The material at the service of the eye
I choose my material according to the subject and image sought: wide-angle to work space and lines, telephoto lens to isolate or compress perspectives, macro to explore details and materials. Material remains a tool; The photographic choice always comes before the technique.

My subjects may be very different, but my approach remains the same: starting from the real, building my own reading and using photography to give it another presence.
I'm not trying to impose an interpretation. I prefer to leave enough space for everyone to find their own reading.
